The fund pursues long-term growth of capital by seeking to invest significantly in China. Focusing on Chinese companies provides the fund with the opportunity to seek superior growth in the areas the fund views as most promising, but with higher risks than more geographically diverse funds.

The fund is “nondiversified,” meaning it may invest a greater portion of its assets in a single company and own more of the company’s voting securities than is permissible for a “diversified” fund. Because the fund concentrates its investments in a particular country, the fund’s performance is closely tied to the social, political, and economic conditions of that country. As a result, the fund is likely to be more volatile than more geographically diverse international funds.
