SFDR DISCLOSURE
30-Jun-2024 - Quentin Fitzsimmons, Co-Portfolio Manager,
Investors are grappling with various factors, including near-term softness in US economic data, though we expect it to remain resilient ultimately, lingering reflation concerns, and China’s slowing economy. We are also in a phase of increased idiosyncratic risk. It is important to be tactical and maintain portfolio liquidity to afford flexibility to adapt to changes.

Overview

Fund Summary
We take a flexible approach to fixed income, integrating our high-conviction views on countries, interest rates and yield curves as well as credit security selection. We aim to find a balance between core, return-seeking and defensive positions, seeking to anchor performance in times of market stress. The promotion of environmental and/or social characteristics is achieved through the fund's commitment to maintain at least 50% of the value of its portfolio invested in issuers and/or securities that are rated as ‘Green’ by the T. Rowe Price proprietary Responsible Investor Indicator Model (RIIM). Additionally, we apply a proprietary responsible screen (exclusion list). The manager is not constrained by the fund’s benchmark, which is used for performance comparison purposes only.

30-Jun-2024 - Quentin Fitzsimmons, Co-Portfolio Manager,
Government bond yields declined in June, led by the US where economic data softened further, while some major central banks began cutting interest rates. Performance was more mixed in Europe amid political uncertainty. Within the portfolio, duration management had a negative impact, primarily due to our short duration position in the US, although we benefitted from falling short-dated yields in Germany, and our long exposure to South Africa, as political concerns eased following elections in the latter. In foreign exchange markets, our long position in the Mexican peso dragged as it declined on concerns the newly elected government may implement policies that will damage fiscal fundamentals. Our short position in the Japanese yen worked well as the Bank of Japan delayed an announcement on reducing bond purchases. Security selection in US high yield credit also contributed as falling yields drove positive total returns, although modest spread widening hurt our long risk positions held via credit default swaps.

Source for performance: T. Rowe Price. Fund performance is calculated using the official NAV with dividends reinvested, if any. The value of an investment and any income from it can go down as well as up. Investors may get back less than the amount invested. It will be affected by changes in the exchange rate between the base currency of the fund and the subscription currency, if different. Sales charges (up to a maximum of 5% for the A Class), taxes and other locally applied costs have not been deducted and if applicable, they will reduce the performance figures.

Daily performance data is based on the latest available NAV.
